BVI REOPENING PROTOCOL REQUIREMENTS(Applies to everyone; Belongers, Non-Belongers, Work-Permit Holders & Tourists)

Arrivals

Visitors can arrive at:

The Terrance B. Lettsome Airport (EIS) on Tortola ONLY.By Sea (Starting 12/08/20): Road Town Ferry terminal for now and other seaports to be announced.

Travel Insurance:

All arriving guest must provide proof of medical travel insurance that includes COVID-19 coverage. Government to detail insurers who will provide COVID-19 coverage.

COVID-19 Test:

Proof of negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within5 days prior to day of travel for low risk countries; within 3 days for medium/high risk. Most countries are medium/high .

Gateway App Upload:

Visit BVI Gateway Online Portal to complete a travel declaration and upload a negative COVID-19 test results and get approval to visit the BVI before boarding their flight.http://bvigateway.bviaacloud.com

Arrival & Contact Tracing App:

At entry seaport or airport, officials willperform health screening including temperature check plus a COVID-19 PCR test. Visitors will also be required to download to their phone a contact tracing application and a wearable tracking bracelet. Test results available within 18-24 hours. 

Transportation:

Visitors must take an government “approved” transportation to their accommodations. Once there quarantine hasbeen completed visitors can hire rental cars, taxis, etc.

Four-Day Quarantine:

Visitors MUST quarantine for four (4) days at their approved accommodations, but have free movement in resorts, within villas. Boats are allowed to sail in territorial waters while quarantine, no landing but can tie to mooring balls (30′ radius bubble during quarantine).

Day Four test:

On the morning of the fourth day of quarantine, visitors can go to a COVID-19 testing site and complete their last test. Results should be available by the next morning of day 5. If the test is clear, visitors can have free access to all BVI locations.

Costs:

Cost for tracking bracelet, online gateway app and two (2) test are $175.00 per person. No test will be done on children under 5 years old.

If COVID-19 test is POSITIVE?

If tested positive, the individual(s) must quarantine for a period of fourteen (14) days at their accommodation unless they can pay for their own air-transport back to another country that will take them. (St.Thomas & Puerto Rico will deny any positive COVID-19 cases from entry).
